NIS2 Directive

NIS2 (Network and Information Security) is the new European cybersecurity directive that will replace the existing NIS Directive starting October 2024. Its purpose is to establish a baseline of security measures for Essential and Important Entities, to mitigate the risk of cyber attacks and to improve the overall level of cybersecurity in the EU.

150,000 European organizations are concerned, around ten times more than with NIS1. IT security managers working for companies that fall under NIS2 are now required to identify and quantify costs, resources, services provided, and present the possible risks to the management Board.
